Mavericks featured prominently in annual '40 Under 40' List
Once again, the Midlands Business Journal's "40 Under 40" program has a distinct Maverick accent to it.
The journal's annual list recognizes entrepreneurs, executives and professionals in the Omaha area under the age of 40. Members of the Maverick family constitute one-fourth of this year's list — eight of them graduates.
"It is truly incredible — but not surprising — to see so many names with ties to our Maverick community in this year’s list," UNO Alumni Association President Lee Denker says. "This is not only a testament to the educational and professional development support our students receive, but the sense of innovation, excellence and community they develop here at UNO and then carry with them into their careers.
"Their success is truly part of our larger Maverick story.”
Also, 2012 UNO graduate Keith Fix was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Fix is founder and CEO of RetailAware, an analytics firm.
Congratulations to all the Mavericks who were honored! Those named to the "40 Under 40" list are named below. For the full roster, visit http://mbj.com/4040/4040-Winners.html
