Alumni Virtual Lunch & Learn
Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold — Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Tuesday, April 7 — 12:30 p.m., CDT
UNMC and UNO alumni are invited to participate in the first Alumni Virtual Lunch & Learn Tuesday, April 7, from 12:30-1 p.m (CDT). Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will speak on the COVID-19 pandemic and field questions from the online audience.
Launched as a joint venture by the UNMC and UNO alumni associations, the Alumni Virtual Lunch & Learn will be streamed live via Facebook. A Facebook account is NOT required to watch the live stream, which allows for comments and questions from viewers.
Chancellor Gold will provide an update on the current status of the pandemic, including critical numbers worldwide, nationally and in Nebraska. He also will discuss:
• The national relevance of UNMC and Nebraska Medicine patient care and research
• The most significant changes to UNMC and UNO operations
• The recent return of students to classes via remote learning and the move to online commencement ceremonies
• Ways the university can help alumni during this challenging time
