FROSTY WESTERING
Frosty Westering got one more win even after retiring. A 1952 graduate who played football for then-Omaha University, Westering in 2005 was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. That came less than two years after he retired as head football coach at Pacific Lutheran University — with 305 wins, ninth most then among coaches at all levels. It included an NAIA-record 256 wins. All those were tallied during a 40-year career, 32 at PLU. He also won four national titles with the university.
