FOR RETIRED UNO FACULTY AND STAFF AND FOREVER MAVERICKS AGE 65+

The UNO Golden Circle is comprised of retired faculty and staff and university graduates age 65+. The group was formed at a reunion in 1984 honoring the class of 1934.

Today, members meet monthly, ten months of the year, for Golden Circle Lunch Bunches at the Thompson Alumni Center.

Thomas Bragg, PhD, Director, Glacier Creek Preserve

The presentation will introduce (or update) the audience about one of UNO’s best kept secrets, Glacier Creek Preserve, including a summary of its evolution from Glen Haven farm to a unique metropolitan area field station that is used extensively for teaching, that supports diverse biological and hydrogeological research, and that serves as a connection to the local community.

Glacier Creek Preserve Tour

Please join us for a tour of UNO’s Glacier Creek Preserve with Director Thomas Bragg!

Glacier Creek Preserve is a restored tallgrass prairie nature preserve in Bennington, NE, dedicated to research, teaching, and community engagement. It is one of the largest early prairie restorations aimed to restore the tallgrass prairie ecosystem.
