FOR RETIRED UNO FACULTY AND STAFF AND FOREVER MAVERICKS AGE 65+

The UNO Golden Circle is comprised of retired faculty and staff and university graduates age 65+. The group was formed at a reunion in 1984 honoring the class of 1934.

Today, members meet monthly, ten months of the year, for Golden Circle Lunch Bunches at the Thompson Alumni Center.

APRIL 4
Jacob Stodola, Director, Student Legal Services

Established in July 2022, Student Legal Services provides free advice, consultations, and representation to currently enrolled UNO students. Jacob Stodola oversees these services and will provide an update on how UNO is supporting our student body.

MAY 2
Sherry Brownrigg, General Manager/Host of Midday Classics, KVNO

Located on UNO’s Dodge campus, KVNO has been connecting listeners to classical music for the past 50 years. Through online and broadcast channels, KVNO delivers classical music, paired with the local news and arts, events and storytelling. Sherry will talk about the hidden history of KVNO and its impact on the Omaha metro.

JUNE 6
Thomas Bragg, PhD, Director, Glacier Creek Preserve

The presentation will introduce (or update) the audience about one of UNO’s best kept secrets, Glacier Creek Preserve, including a summary of its evolution from Glen Haven farm to a unique metropolitan area field station that is used extensively for teaching, that supports diverse biological and hydrogeological research, and that serves as a connection to the local community.
