Thompson Center Rooms
The modern, spacious Thompson Center contains numerous ooms used for a variety of gatherings.
Bootstrapper Hall
Bootstrapper Hall is the heart of the Alumni Center. The spacious room features rich carpeting, lighted wall sconces, brass chandeliers, fine wall coverings and wood trim. It is used for a variety of events, including wedding receptions, business meetings, lectures and formal dinners, and can be configured with round or rectangular tables. An 18-foot by 15-foot dance floor is built into the floor at carpet level. There is a ceiling-mounted LCD projector for a variety of multimedia presentations.
Function space: 2,820 square feet
Guest capacities: Seated dinner, 220; Theater-style, 230; Standing reception, 300.
East & West Boot Halls
Bootstrapper Hall may be divided by partition into East Boot Hall and West Boot Hall. These rooms often are used by business groups for meetings and seminars. Each can be configured for an open horseshoe, theater style, or classroom setting. The Boots also are ideal for medium-sized meal functions such as breakfast meetings or prenuptial dinners. Each side of the Hall is equipped with a large projection screen, which deploys electronically from the ceiling.

Centennial Hall
Centennial Hall mirrors the classic décor of Bootstrapper Hall and also features a built-in dance floor, LCD projector and electronically controlled screen. Daylight fills the room through four French doors that open to a canopied terrace overlooking the Thompson Center's tree-covered grounds. The terrace features tall bistro tables and large, elevated flower planters. It is adjacent to a beautiful brick patio that offers additional seating for guests. Centennial Hall also can be partitioned into two medium-sized meeting rooms, dining areas or conference breakout rooms.

Sokol Lobby & Concourse
Guests entering the Thompson Center pass through the spacious Sokol Lobby, tastefully designed with elegant, comfortable furnishings. Adjacent to the lobby is the Leslie Reception Alcove with large bay windows, additional seating and a baby grand piano. Wedding couples often use the alcove as an area to place their wedding cake service. The lobby flows into Sokol Concourse, which many clients utilize as a gathering area for guests throughout their events.The concourse features a 13-foot-high vaulted ceiling, intricate woodwork, furnishings and a built-in, marble-topped bar that can be used as a beverage station or for event registration.

Arthur Andersen Hospitality Room
The Hospitality Room is located between Bootstrapper Hall and Centennial Hall and can serve a variety of purposes. It is in an ideal location to serve as pre-function or buffet line space for groups utilizing either or both ballrooms. The Hospitality Room completely opens into Centennial Hall, expanding that area to a total of 2,640 square feet. The Hospitality Room also has an electronic screen and can be used as a medium-sized meeting room for 20 to 30 participants.

Severa Parlor & Patio
For smaller gatherings, including meetings, retreats and luncheons, the Severa Parlor, provides a unique “homelike” environment that includes informal seating (couches, loveseats, armchairs) and a classic, working gas fireplace. There is room in the Parlor to provide round tables for up to 48 guests. The room also can be used for additional dinner seating at large events throughout the Thompson Center. French doors exit to the large, beautifully bricked and landscaped Jeter Patio with outdoor seating for 48 guests at elegant patio sets.

Hoenshell Library
Seeking an intimate gathering for a few individuals? The Hoenshell library is an ideal space, offering seating for up to 8 people. The Library features rich wood cabinets, a graceful table and chairs, bookcases filled with works by UNO graduates and display cases showcasing various University memorabilia.
Rhoden Board Room
If you’re looking for a formal boardroom setting for your next meeting, the Rhoden Board Room is a great choice. The room features a custom-built 22-foot mahogany-finished boardroom table that accommodates 22 people at comfortable chairs. Located on the second level of the Center, the room also includes a switch-activated projection screen and six windows with outstanding views of UNO’s beautiful campus. Accessible by elevator, the room is secluded, quiet, affordable and the perfect place for your next meeting.

Rhoden Conference Room
The Rhoden Conference Room is located next to the Rhoden Board Room on the second level of the Alumni Center and is used primarily for small meetings and lunches up to 14 guests. The room is equipped with 14 phone and data ports and is used regularly for phone-a-thons, telemarketing and computer training.

Outdoors
The Thompson Center offers one of the most beautiful and private outdoor spaces in the area for wedding ceremonies, receptions, picnics and other events. A canopy of mature trees shades the landscaped grounds, which also feature smaller ornamentals, bushes and a paved walkway. There is no charge to use this space, though some events might entail other expenses, such as rental of folding chairs, canopies, arches and outdoor PA equipment.
