Maverick Monument Plaza


Construction on the monument plaza began in late spring 2014. The plaza is located in front of the Lee and Helene Sapp Fieldhouse and the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Building.

The plaza features a raised platform on which the monument stands, looking due west across campus. The tree-covered area include an accessible ramp to the platform, a donor recognition wall made of Sioux Quartzite, lighting and landscaping.
