ENTER OUR FIRST-GENERATION MEDALLION DRAWING
Are YOU a first-generation Maverick? Among UNO’s 15,000+ students, about 4 of 10 are just that, meaning their parents did not graduate from a four-year institution. Nearly 500 UNO grads who received degrees in May were first-gens.
Recognizing this, UNO in 2019 established the First Generation Guild for undergrad students, providing support, resources and guidance to help them reach their academic goals. UNO also began issuing special medallions to first-generation graduates. Learn more here.
The UNO Alumni Association has medallions that it will give to 10 first-generation grads via a random drawing. Enter by Oct. 22.
When you enter, tell us what it means to you to be a First-Generation Maverick and we might share your story on social media!
