UNO alumni and friends are invited to walk alongside the UNO Department of Black Studies and the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Inclusion (SLII) in the Omaha Freedom Festival Juneteenth Parade. Juneteenth is an important milestone in the African-American community, as it represents the emancipation of African Americans enslaved in the United States.
The parade starts on 24th & Lake St. and ends on 24th & Sprague St. Line-up begins at 9:00 a.m. and Maverick Nation will march together in the UNO section!
