2020 UNO Alumni Scholars
The 2020 UNO Alumni Association Scholarships have been awarded to three high school graduates. The three $2,500/year scholarships are awarded to those who have demonstrated leadership and involvement during high school. The scholarships are renewable for up to four years total.
Lashaia Bass
Lashaia is a graduate from Omaha North High. Graduating in 2020, Lashaia was a member of the student council and National Honor Society and also was active with Step-Up Omaha participating in community engagement seminars. Lashaia also volunteered at St. Benedict the Moor Parish during its Basket Giveaway programs. She is majoring in biology.

Calli Carlson
Calli graduated from Osceola Public School — doing so with perfect attendance. She was involved in speech, one-acts, band and drama and was chapter president of the National Honor Society. She was student council class president with terms also as treasurer and vice president. Calli served as a 4-H Polk County Council representative and a Substance Abuse Coalition member. She is majoring in business administration.

Alanna Hobbs
Alanna graduated from Bellevue West High School. She was active in band, leading it as a drum major for two years. She also earned her academic letter three times and was awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Outstanding Leader of Character. Alanna volunteered with the Kim Foundation promoting suicide prevention and awareness in youth while also helping serve the Open Door Mission. She is majoring in music education.
