UNO alumni and friends are invited to attend events in Omaha and around the country. From cheering for your favorite Omaha Athletics team, learning something new at a Golden Circle Lunch Bunch or meeting graduates in your city at a Mavs on the Move event – there are several opportunities for UNO alumni and friends to stay connected. Many events are free or have reduced fees for UNO alumni. 

Other ways to stay engaged and share your Maverick pride include:

• Get an O Baby! shirt for your Future Maverick.
• Volunteer during UNO Alumni Month of Service.
• Donate to the Career Closet and support UNO students.
• Purchase a bag of Scooter’s Maverick Blend Coffee and support UNO Alumni Association Scholarships.
• Nominate a fellow Maverick for an alumni award.
• Show the O around the world.

UNO Alumni Affiliates
UNO Alumni Affiliates are smaller assemblies of alumni formed around a common bond or interest. Affiliate groups increase the number of opportunities alumni will have to maintain a personal level of engagement well beyond graduation. The UNO Alumni Association assists alumni interested in forming affiliate groups and offers ongoing support for affiliates once they are formed.

UNO Alumni Chapters
UNO Alumni Chapters are an extension of the UNO Alumni Association, linking alumni with the university while providing opportunities to network with fellow Mavericks in their city. Just like the UNO Alumni Association, membership in a UNO Alumni Chapter is free.  

LinkedIn
The UNO Alumni Association hosts a private LinkedIn group where alumni can find and post job opportunities, share career advice, and network with fellow Mavericks. Each UNO Alumni Chapter also has also has a LinkedIn group where alumni can stay connected and share opportunities and additional ways to engage. 

Alumni Directory
The online UNO Alumni Directory is comprised of all University of Omaha/University of Nebraska at Omaha graduates. The directory is accessible to alumni who set up a login. 

UNO Young Alumni Academy
Founded in 2010, the UNO Young Alumni Academy is an eight-month professional development program designed for alumni 40 and younger. Nearly 500 alumni have completed the academy. The award-winning program is free for participants. 

Nebraska Career Catalyst
This annual conference features expert faculty and alumni presenters from the University of Nebraska’s four campuses. The unique and interactive learning sessions are tailored for early and mid-career professionals and focus on workplace soft skills, management best-practices and professional development. The Nebraska Career Catalyst conference is a collaboration between the alumni associations at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. 

2024 Nebraska Career Catalyst

The UNO Alumni Card is an upgraded membership perk that provides a variety of benefits including library access, the ability to purchase a Campus Recreation & Wellness membership and more.

The UNO Alumni Card is free for one year after graduation and available to all who donate $25/year or more to the UNO Fund.

UNO alumni are encouraged to take advantage of UNO’s Career Services, including career advising, employment and internship opportunities, career fairs and career development resources.
