The UNO Alumni Association (UNOAA) is a vibrant network of more than 123,000 living alumni, spread across the globe, united by your shared experience at UNO. Here, we celebrate the impact of our engagement with each other and the university July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024.
Throughout the year, the association hosted or participated in 98 engagement experiences, drawing in 9,145 alumni, students and friends. These events and opportunities helped create new connections and deepen professional networks. Seven UNO Alumni Chapters were established, strengthening these bonds even further and developing local hubs where Mavericks continue to thrive and support one another.
Your generosity made a profound impact. While membership in the UNOAA remains free, 475 gifts totaling $42,718 were given to the association to advance our mission. With your support, we awarded 20 scholarships totaling $20,500, opening doors of opportunity for deserving students and future Forever Mavericks. Your dedication to community service was evident in the 1,874 hours volunteered by 191 alumni and friends during UNO Alumni Month of Service, enriching countless lives in our communities.
Your support extended to current students through the Career Closet, donating more than 2,000 clothing items and serving 265 students. Generous contributions to the Grads Give and Wear Black, Give Back campaigns, which raised $1,305 and $8,780 respectively, ensure Mavericks of today and tomorrow have the resources they need to succeed.
Enhancing engagement through modernization efforts, the association developed a new website and reinstated UNO Magazine’s tri-annual mailing schedule, ensuring alumni stay informed and connected.
These efforts are reflected in the association’s engagement scores. The meaningful experiences and communications, rewarding volunteer opportunities and students engaged in our programs and events, all amplify UNO’s reputation and impact.
The UNOAA exists because of you. Thank you for being a part of the collective effort to uphold UNO’s values and ensure every alum remains an integral part of the university’s ongoing success story.
