FOR FOREVER MAVERICKS AND RETIRED UNO FACULTY AND STAFF AGE 65+

The UNO Golden Circle is comprised of alumni, retired faculty and staff age 65+. The group was formed at a reunion in 1984 honoring the class of 1934.

Today, members meet monthly, ten months of the year, for Golden Circle Lunch Bunches at the Thompson Alumni Center.

SEPTEMBER 5

Neal Grandgenett, Ph.D., Dean, College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences

Dr. Neal Grandgenett is the Lois G. Roskens Dean of the UNO College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS). He is a former Associate Dean, STEM Community Chair and a Professor of Mathematics Education. Dr. Grandgenett will provide updates on the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Erin Bass, Ph.D., College of Business Administration and Office of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives

Erin Bass is Professor of Management and James R. Schumacher Chair of Ethics in the College of Business Administration and the inaugural Executive Director for Competencies, Skills and Workforce Development in the Office of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives.

Michael Smith, Senior Associate Athletic Director – General Manager, Baxter Arena

Baxter Arena hosted its first athletic event in October 2015. Michael Smith will share insights on the types of events held, trends in attendee growth, and behind-the-scenes stories from the arena’s first decade.

Holiday Party featuring UNO Choir

The best Golden Circle event of the year returns with the sounds of the season from the UNO Choir and, of course, eggnog!

Registration Open Oct. 25–Nov. 21

Cancellations: To receive a refund, attendees must cancel before Monday the week of the event. Cancellations on or after Monday can transfer their registration to the next Golden Circle Lunch Bunch.

Golden Circle Field Trips

Golden Circle Field Trips are opportunities to visit and tour different areas of campus to learn more about university advancements. Golden Circle Field Trips are open to UNO alumni, retired UNO faculty and staff and guests.

H&K Building/Wellness Center Tour

Please join us for a walking tour of UNO’s H&K Building/Wellness Center!

With 240,000 square feet of space, H&K is home to the School of Health and Kinesiology, as well as the Wellness Center, which includes Counseling and Psychological Services, Health Services and Campus Recreation.
