UNO alumni are invited to attend the Spring 2016 Career Fair hosted by the UNO Academic & Career Development Center (ACDC) Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 11 am. to 3 p.m. at Baxter Arena. Military Times again names CBA best for vets
Military and veteran students like Nicole Higgins (pictured) who want to earn a graduate degree in business should look no further than Omaha. For the second year in a row, Military Times has ranked UNO's College of Business Administration as the nation’s best business school for military and veteran students seeking education beyond a bachelor’s degree. UNO’s CBA stood out in a number of areas, including a 92% military retention rate and four-star rankings for staff and academic support. See more

Alihodzic makes program history as
first Mav taken in MLS Draft
Omaha midfielder Emir Alihodzic etched his name in the record book during his stellar four-year career as a Maverick, but his final achievement might be the best of them all — becoming the first player in UNO program history to be drafted by a Major League Soccer (MLS) team. The Seattle Sounders selected Alihodzic in the third round of the MLS College Draft on Jan. 18. He was the 54th overall selection. See more

Omaha University’s School of Adult Education beings to offer a course on Church Ushering.
1968 — FEB. 1
Graduate Merlyn Dethlefsen ('65) presented the Congressional Medal of Honor by President Lyndon Johnson in White House ceremony. Dethlefsen honored for flying repeated attacks on key North Vietnamese anti-aircraft site in a damaged jet fighter. Dethlefsen is among four UNO graduates to have received the Medal of Honor, along with Jack Treadwell (1963) Leo Thorsness (1964) and Roger Donlon (1967).
1980 — FEB. 15
UNO Student President Katie Rinn and nearly 300 other student government leaders from across the country meet in the White House with President Jimmy Carter, who tells her she’s “good looking.”
