UNO Alumni Night on the Ice - Saturday, Jan. 23
Join fellow graduates for a pregame buffet and plenty of fun at the seventh annual UNO Alumni Night on the Ice at Qwest Center Omaha. Features include door prizes, free Mav Tattoos, Hockey 101 with former Mavs, a pregame pep talk, the UNO Dance Team and great seating at the game against Northern Michigan. Reserve your spot today!

Political posters, prints part of exhibition
Political posters and historical prints from the personal collection of Sam Walker, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, will be on display at UNO's Criss Library Jan. 11 through March 11. An opening reception is planned for Sunday, Jan. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the library's gallery. The featured works hail from World War I and World War II, along with the civil rights movement, American presidents and more.

UNO selected for National Writing Project site

$30,000 grant to establish  Oxbow Writing Project for local teachers to help improve student writing.

Mav wrestlers repeat as National Duals Champions
The top-ranked Mavericks repeated as champions and won their fifth NWCA National Duals title in school history on Jan. 10 in Cedar Falls at the UNI-Dome. The Mavericks defeated Newberry for the second-straight season in the finals, this time by a score of 25-6.
