The UNO Alumni Association each year issues Alumni Outstanding Teaching Awards (AOTA) established in 1997 to honor distinguished teaching in the classroom. Peer committees in each college choose recipients, each of whom receives a $1,000 award.

The Association presented its 16th class of AOTA recipients April 12 at the UNO Faculty Honors Convocation Breakfast. Wtih the awards, the association has issued $140,000 since the program’s start.
