Alumni Outstanding Teaching Award

The UNO Alumni Association each year issues Alumni Outstanding Teaching Awards established in 1997 to honor distinguished teaching in the classroom. Peer committees in each college choose recipients, each of whom receives a $1,000 award. The Association has issued $122,000 in AOTAs since the program’s start.


2010 Alumni Outstanding Teaching Awards

The UNO Alumni Association issued AOTAs to nine faculty members during the UNO Faculty Honors Convocation Breakfast April 8, in the Milo Bail Student Center. Association President Lee Denker  presented awards to:

Timi Barone, Melanie Bloom, Bruce Chase, John Erickson, Won Mee Jang, Carol Mitchell, Hugh Reilly, Pete Simi and Kerry Ward.
